Season 3 has 22 episodes that began airing in the United States and Canada on October 4, 2006 on Wednesdays at 9:00pm. The series returned from hiatus on February 7, 2007 and aired at 10:00pm. The story continues 67 days after the crash. New crash survivors and Others are introduced, as the crash survivors learn about the Others and their history on the island. One of The Others and a new island inhabitant join the survivors while a survivor defects to The Others. A war between The Others and the survivors comes to a head, and the survivors make contact with a rescue team.

A Tale of Two Cities

Jack, Kate and Sawyer are taken to the Other's headquarters and each of their experiences of capture are revealed.

The Glass Ballerina

Jin, Sun, and Sayid make their plans to trap the Others after discovering a dock near the shore. Sawyer and Kate are put to work by the Others, and Jack is made a tempting deal by Ben.

Stranger in a Strange Land

Kate, Sawyer, and Karl make their way back to the island, Jack is moved to the cages outside, and Juliet is put on trial for her execution of Pickett.

Tricia Tanaka Is Dead

Kate and Sawyer return to their camp after trekking across the island. After being led by Vincent, Hurley discovers a van on the island and enlists the help of Jin, Charlie and Sawyer to get it working.

Sayid, Kate, Locke and Rousseau make their way to the Other's camp and uncover the Flame Station and it's occupant. Meanwhile, Sawyer and Hurley engage in a game of ping pong for Sawyer's stash.

When Nikki and Paulo are found in a paralyzed state, the survivors come to believe they are dead, and begin an investigation to solve the mystery.

Kate and Juliet find themselves handcuffed to each other after the Others pack up and leave the Barracks. Meanwhile, Hurley warns Sawyer about an upcoming banishment vote.

Jack, Kate, Sayid and Juliet make their way back to the beach camp. When Claire falls ill, Juliet is the only one who can cure her affliction.


After seeing yet another set of flashes of the future which signal the arrival of a new addition to the island, Desmond leads Charlie, Hurley and Jin into the jungle to let the events unfold.


After learning that women who become pregnant on the island have died, Sun accepts Juliet's offer of help, and heads to the Staff Station to determine the date of conception.

After Locke discovers that he and Sawyer share an animosity with Anthony Cooper, he retrieves Sawyer and locks him inside the brig of the Black Rock with Anthony.
