Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack was a local restaurant located in Los Angeles, California which specializes in chicken. Their mascot was a man in a giant yellow chicken costume who would spout the phrase “Have a cluckety-cluck-cluck day!”. Mr. Cluck’s was eventually destroyed by a meteorite.

Hurley, Randy, and JohnnyEdit

Hurley and his friend Johnny were employed at Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack, and it was not until after having won the lottery that Hurley was given a new sense of confidence. While working the day after the lottery drawing, Hurley was called into his manager Randy Nations' office, and Hurley was berated by Randy for owing money for food which he had eaten, and for providing customers with too many napkins. Hurley used his newfound confidence and quit on the spot. Johnny quit as well in a show of defiance of Randy and out of support for Hurley.

In the episode "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead", reporter Tricia Tanaka interviews Hurley outside the Shack about his lottery winnings, but he only gives her depressing answers about how he is cursed. Undaunted, she takes her cameraman inside to shoot footage of the restaurant, which is then struck by a freak meteorite falling from the sky. This incident spurs Hurley to travel to Australia to learn the origin of the numbers.

Alternate TimelineEdit

In the alternate timeline detailed in Season 6, Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack is owned by Hugo "Hurley" Reyes and is the cornerstone of his wealth. The restaurant is one in a worldwide chain owned by Hurley, and Hurley stars in many of his own commercials. On Oceanic Flight 815, Leslie Arzt asks Hugo to say his catch-phrase "Have a Cluckity-Cluck-Cluck day."
