The Camp is the Island home to the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer has referred to it as "Islandtown."

First camp

The middle-section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 initially set up their camp on the beach where the plane crashed. During this time, they generally sought shelter under parts of the fuselage or slept on the open sand.

Second camp

The survivors migrating up the beach to their new camp.

On Day 22 or thereabouts, the tide changed and began sweeping away the wreckage and the shore. The survivors moved up the beach to an area abutting a sparse pine wood, and began setting up more permanant shelters, using a combination of tarps, materials scavenged from the plane and native materials like palm fronds, bamboo and tree branches.

Initially some of the survivors remained at The Caves, but all of them seem to have settled at the beachfront camp, as have the tail-section survivors who encountered The Raft crew on the other side of The Island.

The camp includes a water trough that delivers a water supply channelled from the Caves and a kitchen stocked with Dharma Initiative food.

Residences

  • Claire, Charlie and Aaron lived together at the camp until Claire threw Charlie out following the discovery of his heroin stash, at which point Locke moved in to help protect Claire and Aaron
  • Sun and Jin share a tent
  • Hurley seems to live next to Sun and Jin, based on his appearance next to them following the return of the Rafties, as depicted in "What Kate Did"
  • As of "The Long Con," it appeared that Sawyer lived in front of Claire, immediately in front of the ocean, in a large tent although he spends much of his time in a first-class airplane seat from the plane wreckage that sits slightly outside his tent "on the porch"
  • In "The Long Con," Charlie set up a tent slightly down the beach from Sawyer's tent
  • There is a "big guy who lives behind Sayid and Scott [Steve]," according to Ana-Lucia in "The Long Con"
  • According to Sawyer in "Exodus," Tracy sleeps next to "good ol' Scott [Steve] to keep her warm at night." It's not clear if they share a tent or just live next door to each other
