The hatch is there, but the letters are not
Part of the Medical Station in episode Maternity Leave. It is unknown where it leads to. The writing was overpainted as the Station was abandoned. It is a door that opens into the Corridor of the station.
- Before the Medical Sation was abandoned by the Others the letters were visible thus indicating to the others were the escape hacth is in a case of emergency
- Since the medical station is abandoned it is possible that the escape hatch is being used by the Others and they don't want anybody to know that the escape hatch is existing, thats why the letters were painted over.
